SHY’s first Artwave exhibition: sculpture and photography by Sussex-based artist and designer Mia Wanaka Brimilcombe, exploring adornment, transience and the environment.
Mia’s work uses biomaterials developed through her Central Saint Martins practice, including algae and plant starch. The pieces are made with impermanence in mind rather than longevity as the only measure of value.
Signed and numbered prints are available in the studio. The exhibition runs from 5 to 20 September, with SHY open for treatments as usual throughout.
