SHY is a beautifully designed, light-filled studio in the heart of Lewes. Every piece of furniture moves. The beds fold away, the treatment spaces open up, and the room becomes whatever the occasion asks for. We offer full event management or simple dry hire, and we work with each enquiry individually.

  • Hen Parties + Bride Celebrations

    Close the studio for the morning, afternoon or full day. We host the bride and her people for treatments, brunch, sparkling wine and whatever else the occasion calls for. Completely private, completely personal.

    Dinners, celebrations, brand parties, intimate gigs. The studio transforms beautifully after hours, candlelit and seated for up to 60, or standing for up to 150. This is one of the best ways to use the space and one of the most special experiences to be in it.

What's in the space

The space comes fully equipped. Sonos speakers with curated playlists throughout, a full lighting system you can adjust for atmosphere, and diffusers running across the studio. There's a kitchen space with a tea and coffee station, microwave, fridge and small freezer, with additional cold storage available on request. For events, we have tables, chairs, crockery and glassware, and plenty of hanging space for rails or installations.

For treatments and training: heated treatment beds, ring lights, linen, towels, pillows and duvets, all included. The studio also has a till system in place if you need retail functionality during your hire.

PRACTICALITIES: Free 30-minute loading bay directly opposite, on-street parking nearby, and a 10-minute walk from Lewes station. The wine bar and restaurant next door are available for overflow or catering arrangements.

And yes, there's a very lovely bathroom.
